TEXARKANA — The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) announced Monday they will have crews replacing signs on I-369/Loop 151 in Texarkana over the next three weeks.
Starting Tuesday, June 22, TXDOT will replace the roadside and overhead signs on the controlled access highway. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 17.
Crews will be working on the replacement of signs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily on week days.
Some lanes and ramps will be closed at various locations at different times as the work progresses. The closures of any lanes or ramps should be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the weekdays or until the work is completed on each day.
The replacement of signs comes almost a month after the department announced a six-mile portion of I-30 from mile marker 0.6 westbound from Kings Highway to State Line Avenue would be widened from four to six lanes.
The department has been active in Bowie and Cass Counties since May when it was announced new bridges would be installed over the Sulphur River. Guardrails on I-30 in Hooks were also replaced starting in April. A sidewalk was also installed in Texarkana in the spring between College Drive and Robison Road.
