LITTLE ROCK, Ark (AP) — Arkansas officials report 503 new cases of COVID-19 and eight additional deaths related to the new coronavirus. State health officials say the total confirmed cases of the disease climbed to 28,367 Sunday, and the death toll hit 321. The true number of cases in Arkansas is likely higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected and not feel sick. Arkansas’ virus cases have dramatically risen since May, when the state began allowing businesses to reopen. Officials say there were more than 6,400 active cases Sunday. Nearly 21,600 people who’d had COVID-19 have recovered.
