16 new COVID-19 cases reported in Bowie County

TEXARKANA — The Bowie County emergency operations center is reporting an increase of 16 cases of COVID-19 in the county.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 407 such cases in the county with 186 recoveries and 28 deaths. The 16 new cases are being traced by the local health authority. Anyone who has tested positive or any healthcare provider that conducts such testing should call the local health authority at 903-255-5560.

In nearby Cass County, there are currently 25 active cases. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 70 cases with 42 recoveries and two deaths.
