LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas has reported 794 new coronavirus cases and eight more deaths. Gov. Asa Hutchinson said at a news conference Tuesday that reported cases of COVID-19, the new coronavirus illness, is 29,733 in Arkansas with a total death toll of 331. The true number of cases in Arkansas, though, is likely higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected and not feel sick. On Saturday, the state reported a record 1,061 new cases. Arkansas’ virus cases have dramatically risen since May, when the state began allowing businesses to reopen.
