10,291 new positive COVID-19 cases in Texas

The Texas health department reported 10,291 new positive COVID-19 cases Thursday.

The health department says there are a total of 292,656 confirmed cases since the pandemic began.

There were 129 more deaths reported from COVID-19 in Texas between Wednesday and Thursday.

Since the pandemic began, there has been a total of 3,561 people who have died.

10,457 people in Texas are still hospitalized, down 14 patients.

The health department says 155,937 people in Texas have recovered from COVID-19.
