LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas on Friday reported 990 new cases of the coronavirus and eight additional deaths. Gov. Asa Hutchinson says Arkansans need to keep taking precautions as they enter the weekend. The additional cases now brings the state’s total so far to 37,249. The true number of cases in Arkansas is likely higher because many people have not been tested. Studies also suggest people can be infected and not feel sick. The total number of deaths reported in the state is now at 394. For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
