ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers’ new home is no retro ballpark. There is a series of high brick arches along a concourse reminiscent of their old stadium and an asymmetrical outfield. But the new Globe Life Field has transparent panels in the retractable roof and walls of windows that allow in plenty of natural light. The split seating levels, both in the lower and upper decks, offer full views of the field from wide concourses. HKS, the stadium architect, had the goal of building the first next-generation ballpark, even with the some classic touches. The Rangers are finally playing games there.
