NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Saints coach Sean Payton says his team’s preparations for this pandemic-altered NFL season won’t resemble a typical training camp. Payton says that with preseason games cancelled he expects to have more scrimmages or live football scenarios to help evaluate players in practice. Payton won’t say whether he agrees with new preseason rules set forth by the NFL Management Council and players’ union. He says he’s only concerned with adapting to them. He says he also won’t be surprised if some games have to be postponed because of positive coronavirus tests.
