
TEXAKANA — The Bowie County emergency operations center reports there are 394 active cases of COVID-19 being traced in the county as of Tuesday.
The total number of cases since March is 842. There have been 392 recoveries with 56 deaths.
Anyone who has tested positive or any healthcare provider who administers such testing should contact the local health authority at 903-255-5560.
Free COVID-19 testing is still available through Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bowie-Texarkana Health Department at 902 West 12th Street in Texarkana. No symptoms are needed.
