Arkansas reports 17 more COVID-19 deaths, drop in new cases

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas has reported 17 more deaths from the illness caused by the coronavirus. The Department of Health on Tuesday said the new deaths from COVID-19 bring the state’s total fatalities since the pandemic began to 814. The state said 273 more people have tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 61,497. The state saw a decrease in new cases, but also in the number of tests performed. Three more people were hospitalized, bringing the total in the state to 423.
