Bowie County adds 1 new COVID-19 case

TEXARKANA — The Bowie County emergency operations center reported one new case of COVID-19 from Thursday to Friday.

According to the emergency operations center, there have been 1,005 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Currently, there are 426 active cases being traced in Bowie County.

Anyone who has tested positive for the coronavirus or any healthcare provider that conducts such testing should contact the Bowie-Texarkana Health Department at 903-255-5560.

Since the pandemic began, there have been 508 recoveries with 71 deaths.

Since the pandemic began, there have been 261 cases in Cass County with 215 recoveries and 12 deaths. Active cases have decreased to 34. Once active cases have dropped to 20, the county may be eligible to suspend the mandatory mask mandate.
