The Pewitt Brahmas opened their 2020 football season tonight with a 40-21 win over Atlanta. The Rabbs scored first on a bust play but it was all Bulls afterwards.

Senior Kadrien Johnson answered by returning the kickoff 90 yards for the first of three first-half touchdowns and a Vissering extra point tied the score.

Teams swapped scores to end the first quarter. The sophomore QB Hayden Green threw the first of two touchdown passes on the night when he found Daulton Vissering in the back of the end zone to make the score 27-15 at the half.

The third quarter belong to Deiontary Hill and the Brahmas’ big offensive line shoved the Rabbs around all night. Hill had a 63 yard receiving touchdown on a screen play and a 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to finish off the scoring for the Bulls.

Deiontary Hill lead the ground and pound attack with 155 yards on 26 carries Kadrien Johnson had 139 on 15 totes as the Bulls finished with 341 yards on the ground.

Pewitt is 1-0 on season and will travel to play Mount Vernon next week.
