334 active COVID-19 cases in Bowie County

TEXARKANA — The Bowie Count emergency operations center reported Wednesday there are 334 active cases of COVID-19 being traced.

Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or any healthcare provider that conducts such testing should notify the Bowie-Texarkana Health Department at 903-255-5560.

Here is a breakdown of every coronavirus case, including the 334 being traced, in Bowie County since the pandemic began:

In nearby Cass County, there have been 267 cases since the pandemic began with 236 recoveries and 12 deaths. Cass County currently has 19 active cases. On Oct. 8, if the county maintains fewer than 20 active cases, the county can then submit a request to the state to apply for an exemption to the state’s mandatory mask mandate given that they have fewer than 20 active cases.
