The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced the arrest of a fugitive from their top-10 list.

DPS says they arrested 20-year-old Tyrell Ezekiel Darden on Sept. 17 in Irving, Texas. Darden is from San Antonio and is affiliated with the Bloods gang. The 20-year-old was wanted for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Department of Public Safety was working off of investigative information received from the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS special agents, located and arrested Darden at an apartment complex in Irving.

Authorities had wanted Darden since early March after Tarrant and Denton Counties issued multiple warrants for his arrest for aggravated robbery. On June 13, authorities in Bexar County issued an additional arrest warrant for Darden for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Department of Public Safety says they have arrested 10 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, nine of which were gang members. $20,000 in rewards have been paid for anonymous tips that have led to arrests.
