The Paul Pewitt Brahamas is known for its ground and pound offense but it was the defense who took the spotlight tonight with an impressive 35-6 win over the De Kalb Bears Friday.
Dekalb has the areas leading rusher but the Bulls defense held him to under 20 on the night and Pewitt Deiontary Hill lead the Slot T attack with 230 yards and 4 touchdowns on 31 carries.
Paul Pewitt took an early 7-0 lead on a 70-yard touchdown dash to the end zone by Kadrien Johnson.
Shortly after the early score, there was 30 minute delay after a 30-minute delay after an official collapsed and was taken away to a hospital in ambulance. Paul Pewitt scored again before the half and took a 14-0 lead at the half.
De Kalb’s only scored of the game cam on a 55-yard touchdown pass from AJ Burgin to Jamar Vaugn.
Paul Pewitt (4-2, 3-0) will face the Dangerfield Tigers (6-1, 3-0) in Dangerfield next Friday.
De Kalb (5-2, 1-2) will host the Hooks Hornets (2-4, 2-1) Friday night in De Kalb.
