Jerry Rochelle, the Bowie County District Attorney told the Texarkana Gazette that he’s asking for the public’s help in the investigation of the murders of a pregnant woman and her unborn daughter earlier this month.
Police said that Taylor Parker, aka, Taylor Morton, is currently being held in the Bowie County jail on charges of capital murder, murder and kidnapping. Parker’s Bail was set at $5 million.
Police said that Parker, 27 is accused of attacking 21-year-old Reagan Simmons Hancock in her New Boston, Tx, home. The attack allegedly occurred on the morning on October 9th, 2020.
Police said that a Texas State Trooper stopped Parker at 9:37 a.m. the morning of the alleged attack. Authorities claim that Parker and Hancock’s baby were transported to a nearby hospital in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
Baby pronounced dead at hospital
Hancock’s baby, Braxlynn Sage Hancock, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Authorities said that Parker, allegedly faked a pregnancy for months. She was taken into custody at the hospital. Police said she allegedly confessed to the attack.
Rochelle told the Texarkana Gazette that police are attempting to see any home or business surveillance video or other information that would help them establish the movement of a 2009 black, four-door Toyota Corolla with Texas license plate LHL0637 on the morning of Oct. 9 between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.
“Any video of any route between New Boston and DeKalb could potentially contain vital information,” Rochelle said. “The main areas of concern are, but not limited to, U.S. Highway 82, FM 1840, FM 561, and FM 992.”
