Smith leads big comeback for Tulsa over No. 19 SMU

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Zach Smith threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns to help Tulsa recover from a 21-point second quarter deficit and upset No. 19 SMU 28-24. Smith completed 26 of 38 passes, including a 4-yard touchdown toss to James Palmer for the game-winning touchdown with 2:11 remaining for Tulsa (4-1, 4-0 American Athletic Conference).  Shane Buechele completed 18 of 36 passes for 200 yards and one touchdown, along with one interception, for SMU (7-2, 5-2).
