TEXARKANA — The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday night in the 100 block of Forest Circle in Texarkana, Texas.

According to law enforcement, Chase Aaron Porier was shot in his living room at the residence in an apparent robbery. The sheriff’s office says, according to a witness on the scene, who was administering first aid to Porier upon the deputies’ arrival at around 7:46 p.m., two black males showed up at Porier’s residence unannounced.

The sheriff’s office says, via the witness, that an altercation took place when one of the suspects allegedly robbed Porier of his marijuana, which resulted in one of the suspects shooting Porier. The witness claims the cell phones of Porier and the witness were taken by the suspects before their departure.

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects drove away in a blue two-door car with a black bumper.

Judge Todd Fore ordered the victim to be sent off for an autopsy. Bowie County investigators were able to process the crime scene and continue the investigation.

Investigators are following up on leads to identify the two suspects, and are asking anyone with any information on the murder to contact Investigator Chris Allison directly at 903-628-6821, or call the sheriff’s office at 903-798-3149.
