BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU coach Ed Orgeron has hired Jake Peetz as his offensive coordinator and DJ Mangas as passing game coordinator. Peetz and Mangas both worked as offensive assistants with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers this season alongside offensive coordinator and former LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady. Brady helped spearhead LSU’s offensive game plans during the Tigers’ 2019 unbeaten run to the national title. Peetz has spent 10 seasons in the NFL and was the Panthers’ quarterbacks coach this season. Mangas worked as an offensive assistant under Brady in Carolina. Orgeron announced both hirings on Wednesday.
