TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) has issued a warrant for a suspect involved the fatal shooting at the Oaklawn Village Shopping Center parking lot Tuesday morning.

According to TTPD, a warranted has been issued for 20-year-old Marques Jujuan Thompson, who is wanted for that shooting death of Nichols Muldrow, who died later at Wadley Regional Medical Center after being shot multiple times.

TTPD says witnesses saw the man jump into an automobile and drove into crepe myrtles, causing the car to roll back. Police say that EMTs arrived at the scene, transported the man to Wadley Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from the gunshot wound.

“As you may recall, we posted on social media last week where we were looking for Thompson for having shot a man twice within a few days of each other,” a TTPD spokesperson said. “At that time, he also had felony warrants for probation violation on an Aggravated Assault conviction where he shot someone else in 2017 and for Stalking/Intimidation.”

Police say the homicide is the second of 2021 in Texarkana, Texas.

If anyone has any information on Thompson’s whereabouts, they are asked to Texarkana Texas police at 903-798-3116 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP. Police say that Thompson is considered armed and dangerous.
