TTPD upgrades charges to murder in Stateline Avenue hit-and-run


TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) is upgrading their charges in a hit-and-run from aggravated assault to murder.

Police say 22-year-old Montavious Sharp struck 35-year-old Cedrigch Traylor intentionally with his vehicle in the 2200 block of North Stateline Avenue on Saturday at around 2:45 p.m. The man died at Wadley Regional Medical Center on Wednesday.

According to police, the two men were business partners. Sharp fled the scene in a white flatbed Dodge truck. However, Sharp turned himself in to police and was booked into the Bi-State Jail, where he remains at this time.
