The Pleasant Grove Hawks coasted to a 69-41 district win in boys varsity basketball at the Hawks gym in Texarkana Friday.
Pleasant Grove was led by senior T’vonderick Henry who scored 24 points. Henry is committed to play college ball at Ouachita Baptist after graduation. Hawks senior Torey Phillips scored 13 points and Tre Sturart pitched in with ten.
The Lamar Panthers were led by Mason Cole who scored 11 points while his teammate Jackson Brasseaux poured tin ten.
The Hawks are in first place in district with a 2-0 record
The Hawks improved to 2-0 in district. They play at Gilmer Tuesday night. The Hawks game at Gilmer will be broadcasted live on 94.1 FM ESPN-Texarkana.
