Lady Hawks defeated on road at North Lamar 54-27

The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks girls varsity basketball team were defeated on the road at North Lamar in Paris Saturday 54-27.

The North Lamar Pantherettes improved to 2-2 in district with the victory and the Lady Hawks dropped to 0-4 in district play.

Lady Hawks were led by Lexi Snyder and Autumn Crouch

The Lady Hawks were led by junior forward Lexi Snyder who scored 9 points.

Sophomore guard Autumn Crouch scored 7 for the Lady Hawks. Crouch’s 7 points all came in the second half. Crouch and the Lady Hawks never quit, but; they were out maned by an older and taller North Lamar girls team. It’s a rebuilding year for the Lady Hawks who are playing without any senior on the varsity and no returning varsity players from last year.

Autumn Crouch was named the 94.1 FM ESPN-Texarkana, Exceed Urgent Care player of the game.

Pleasant Grove’s girls JV defeated North Lamar 34-20.

The Lady Hawks will host Gilmer Tuesday night at Hawks gym in Texakana.

The Pleasant Grove Hawks boys varsity basketball team will be on the road at Gilmer Tuesday. The Gilmer vs PG boys game will be broadcasted live on 94.1 FM ESPN-Texarkana.
