TAPD seeks Tobacco Store armed robbery suspect

TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) is looking for a suspect wanted in an armed robbery at a local tobacco store.

TAPD says a Black male wearing a camouflage-type face mask, black hoodie with a green undershirt, and black jeans entered the Tobacco Station at 3202 Jefferson Avenue and demanded money from the cash register. Police say the robbery occurred at around 8:58 p.m. on Jan. 24. The suspect had a firearm.

The caller to dispatch said no one was injured, according to police, and the suspect was seen leaving the store headed westbound on East 32nd Street.

Police say the suspect took approximately $500 cash and around $450 in smoking devices.

According to police, they were unable to locate anyone in the general area as they combed through the surrounding neighborhoods.

The criminal investigation division is asking the public for assistance in positively identifying the suspect in the photos. TAPD believe the suspect is about 6-0, 200 pounds, and was also wearing a black hat and in possession of a black, white, and blue sports type gym bag.
