LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — COVID-19 cases and deaths in Arkansas appear to be declining. The Arkansas Department of Health reports 58 fewer people hospitalized with the coronavirus Saturday.
They also said that there were 1,341 newly confirmed or probable virus cases. The ADH also said that there were 11 additional deaths due to the illness caused by the virus.
There have been over 300,000 COVID-19 cases in Arkansas total
The health department on Saturday reported totals of 306,604 virus cases and 5,061 deaths since the pandemic began and that 750 people were hospitalized.
The numbers of both cases and deaths are also declining. Data from Johns Hopkins University shows the seven-day rolling averages of deaths in the state dropping during the past two weeks from 40.86 per day on Jan. 22 to 31.29 and new cases falling from 1,963.86 per day to 1,737.14.
