Free testing at Bowie County Health Center to suspend operations


TEXARKANA — The Bowie County emergency operations center says the free testing site at the Bowie County Health Center will suspend operations starting this evening at 6:00 p.m. and will not reopen until Feb. 15 at 9:00 a.m.

The emergency operations center did not provide any information on why the free testing site will be suspended, but a spokesperson said more information would be made available.

The Texas state department of health says there are 544 active cases of COVID-19 in the county, which has a population of 92,565. In the entirety of the pandemic, there have been 4,375 positive cases in Bowie County with 163 deaths.
