TEXARKANA — The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office says a 29-year-old Texarkana man shot his mother’s live-in boyfriend on Feb. 20.

The sheriff’s office says that Lucas Andrew Jackson shot his mother’s live-in boyfriend multiple times with a handgun. The victim is in stable condition and expected to recover from his injuries, the sheriff’s office says.

According to the sheriff’s office, Bowie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at 9480 West 7th Street in Texarkana. The 911 caller reported her son, Jackson, had just shot her boyfriend.

The law enforcement agency says that upon arrival, Jackson surrendered without incident.

Jackson was booked into the Bi-State Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence. Jackson’s bond has not been set.
