The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) is still widening Interstate 30 from FM 989 to the Arkansas state line in Texarkana. Eastbound traffic is still being moved to the outside lanes.
The transportation department also listed continuing work installing sidewalk on Summerhill Road (State Highway 93) between U.S.-67 and U.S.-87.
Throughout the rest of Bowie County, just north of Simms on State Highway 98, traffic is still restricted to one lane with a controlled traffic light as crews work to replace a bridge over Anderson Creek. TXDOT is also still replacing the bridges at the Cass County and Bowie County line on State Highway 8.
For Cass County, this is the only roadwork TXDOT listed in its weekly road report.
Here is a breakdown of all of the other roadwork in the transportation department’s Atlanta district:
Harrison County
U.S.-59 – From one mile south of FM 1997 to FM 1793, installing safety barrier cable. Daily lane closures.
State Highway 43 – At Kansas City Southern Railroad in Karnack, widening bridge over railroad. All traffic restricted to one lane with signal lights controlling traffic through work zone.
FM 1186 – From US 59 to Panola County Line, installing safety end treatments on culverts.
Marion County
US 59 – At Big Cypress Creek, repairing portions of concrete bridge. Daily lane closures.
Morris County
SH 49 – From Titus County Line to FM 144, repairing and resurfacing highway.
Panola County
US 79 – From SH 149 to Rusk County Line, repairing and resurfacing highway.
US 59 (NE Loop) – From US 59 North to US 79 East, repairing and resurfacing highway. On and off ramps at US 59 and NE Loop closed, traffic detoured accordingly.
SH 315 – From West Loop in Carthage to Rusk County Line, installing safety end treatments on culverts.
Titus County
SH 49 – From FM 1735 to Morris County Line, repairing and resurfacing highway.
