PARIS, Texas – Pleasant Grove rallied for three runs in the sixth inning Friday night, and Blake Jennings pitched two hitless innings in relief as the Hawks beat Paris, 5-3.
“Tonight was a good win for our players,” said Pleasant Grove coach Riley Fincher. “We did a good job of throwing strikes and playing solid defense. Tucker (Anderson) threw well, and Blake did a great job to earn the save. We still have to continue to fight every single pitch and attack the game.”
The host Wildcats (17-10-2, 1-6) scored twice in the first inning, and led 3-2 going to the sixth.
