TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department arrested an 18-year-old Texarkana man and three juvenile males following an apparent drive-by shooting in the 3200 block of Laurel Street just before 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
TAPD says officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Hickory Street for a call for service when they heard gunshots in the distance that appeared to be coming from the 3200 block of Laurel Street.
Police say that officers responded to the area and discovered a gray Honda Accord driving at what the departments calls “a high rate of speed.” Police say the vehicle was in the 3200 block of Pecan Street, and that officers observed the vehicle failing to observe stop signs.
TAPD made a traffic stop on the vehicle and discovered the occupants in possession of firearms, police say. Shell casings were also found in the 3200 block of Laurel Street, according to police.
After the criminal investigation division conducted their investigation, police believe that a parked vehicle was shot in the 3200 block of Laurel Street.
The four occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged with terroristic act. The lone adult of the four was a Texarkan man identified as Clayton Moore, Jr., of Texarkana, Texas.
