TEXARKANA — The Bowie County joint operations center for COVID-19 does not operate daily, but is still functional, according to a statement from the city of Texarkana, Texas.

The joint operations center advises individuals to follow the advice of their primary care physician as local officials continue to monitor case counts.
As of April 30, there were 4,712 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases with 2,216 probable cases and 211 deaths. All of these numbers reflect the case load since March 2020.
The state’s department of health services says there are 48 active cases in Bowie County, which has a population of 92,565.
