
TYLER, Texas — The Pleasant Grove Hawks beat the Melissa Cardinals 6-4 Saturday afternoon at Mike Carter Field.
Alex Galvan was the winning pticher for the Hawks as he delivered a strikeout and allowed five hits, a walk, and a run through 4.0 innings of work.
Coe Blain and Carson Rhodes worked relief for PG on the mound.
Galvan was equally productive at the plate going 1-3 with a run. Brenton Clark went 1-3 with a run, and JM Long went 1-4 with an RBI triple.
Tucker Anderson went 2-4 with a triple, a double, and an RBI.
Traveler Couch provided an RBI sacrifice fly. Cade Martin was 1-1 with an RBI, and Cason Head was also 1-1 with an RBI. Brock Bearden had an RBI double and a run scored.
The Hawks will face Libery-Eylau in the regional final with sources telling Fox Sports Texarkana the neutral site could be Texas High. The entire series will be heard on 94.1 FM ESPN Texarkana.
