TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) is reminding citizens to be aware of leaving valuables in vehicles or leaving keys in said vehicles.
TAPD says Ford and Chevrolet half-ton trucks have been targeted at local hotels and apartment complexes. Police say that the vehicles are used to target automatic teller machines that lack the anti-theft crossbar attachments.
The police department reminds citizens to not leave keys inside a vehicle or to leave a vehicle unlocked as criminals can gain access, and it could also lead to a vehicle being stolen.
