The Arkansas State Police says a Little Rock man is facing multiple charges following the alleged shooting at a state trooper during a traffic stop in Faulkner County on Interstate 40 east of Conway.

State police is charging 25-year-old Edward Lee House with the following criminal charges

  • Aggravated Assault upon a law enforcement officer, class Y felony
  • Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, class Y felony
  • Possession of a schedule I or schedule II controlled substance, class A felony
  • Fleeing, class D felony
  • Theft by Receiving, class C felony
  • False Imprisonment, class C felony
  • Speeding, misdemeanor
  • Possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor

House’s bond is set at $2 million, and he continues to be held at the Faulkner County Detention Center, police say.

The trooper involved in the incident is on paid administrative leave, according to police, and the state police’s criminal investigation division is overseeing the investigation.
