The Arkansas State Police says they have identified the human remains discovered on Aug. 28 in Chicot County.
Police say they recovered the decomposed body of 32-year-old Shenita Hicks of Lake Providence, Louisiana. Police say her body was found south of Lake Village alongside U.S.-65 near the Louisiana border. According to police, the body was in “an extended state of decomposition.”
Hicks’ body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory where the remains were identified.
