The Dallas Mavericks are requiring fans attending home games at American Airlines Center to submit either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test taken 48 hours prior to game time.

According to Josh Clark via 105.3 “The Fan” [KRLD-FM] in Dallas-Fort Worth, the Mavs made the announcement to their season ticket holders a week before their first preseason game against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 6.

The Mavs will also have staff at each door of the arena checking proof of vaccination or negative tests, and will reportedly deny entry to fans who do not follow the demands.

Fans also will be required to wear a mask throughout the game, except for eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.
