Drug task force arrests two suspects, seizes meth, cocaine, firearms, cash, and more

TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department says that members of the Bi-State 8th South District Drug Task force, in partnership with the FBI and Homeland Security, arrested two suspects on Nov. 9 in the 2200 block of Pecan Street.

TAPD says that the task force seized 1.49 lbs of suspected Methamphetamine, 7.5 grams of suspected cocaine, two assault style rifles and one handgun, approximately $14,000.00 is cash, three vehicles and drug paraphernalia related to the sales and distribution of illicit narcotics.

Law enforcement also arrested 26-year-old Ajene Rashodd Cornelius on state warrants, trafficking a controlled substance (Schedule II Methamphetamine) and transported him to the Miller County Jail. Police expect federal charges to follow.

Authorities also arrested 35-year-old Latrace Shenay Cornelius on two counts of possession and use of weapons by a certain person. Cornelius was also transported to the Miller County Jail.
