Junior guard Kobe Powell scored 27 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds Tuesday night at the Patterson Student Center to lead Texas A&M-Texarkana past Dallas Christian College, 105-82.
The host Eagles (3-1) dominated play early, building a 58-35 advantage in the first 20 minutes.
Both teams shot the ball well, but the Eagles dominated the glass, 32-17, while forcing 24 turnovers.

DCC shot 53 percent from the floor, and the same from outside the circle. It was 24-26 from the charity stripe. TAMU-T was 33-61 (54 percent) from the floor, and 15-31 (48 percent) on 3-pointers. Powell converted all four of his three-point attempts.
Texarkana junior Connor Ouellette and Jonathan Bentley contributed 13 points each for the winners, while Ike Durham scored 11.
Dallas Christian had five players in double digits. Jordan Harris led the way with 17 points, including four treys. Nick Erves scored 14, Josepth Allen 13, Jainis Allen 12 and Micah Tucker 12.
The Eagles will be back in action Sunday at home against North American University. Tipoff is at 2 p.m.
