
McLEOD, Texas — The White Oak Roughnecks beat the Hooks Hornets 67-48 to win the McLeod Tournament Saturday afternoon.
In the runner-up game, the McLeod Longhorns beat the Atlanta Rabbits 58-50. Hooks had to outlast the Rabbs 62-60 in double overtime in the semifinals while the Roughnecks dispatched McLeod 54-34.
Texas High junior varsity finished in fifth place. The McLeod JV team finished sixth. Harmony finished seventh as Elysian Fields finished eighth.
White Oak’s Gunner Solis was the tournament MVP.

Members of the all-tournament team included Brian Williams (White Oak), Landon Anderson (White Oak), Carveion Johnson (Hooks), Kielon Estell (Hooks), Braden Parker (McLeod), and Alex Boston (Atlanta).
The Rabbs went 4-2 overall at the tournament. Their other loss was to the Roughnecks on Friday before the bracket was set.
