TEXARKANA — The Texarkana Independent School District (TISD) says they have designated Feb. 17 as a full day of instruction.
The TISD board of trustees approved a measure at their Jan. 26 board meeting to amend the 2021-22 school calendar to accommodate the change. The unforeseen loss of three instructional days from Jan. 12-14 necessitated the amendment to the calendar.
The school district says the changes were necessary to meet requirements from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in regards to operational minutes.
