TEXARKANA — The Harvest Regional Food Bank will hold its annual Wine and Jazz Gala at the Silvermoon on Broad this Friday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will go towards hunger relief programs organized by the food bank.
The event will have live music from Candace Taylor & Trio, gourmet dishes prepared by local chefs Jennifer Tanner, Julie’s Deli & Market; Bri James, Twisted Fork; Hector Jimenez, Verona; Darby Neaves, Naaman’s Championship BBQ and Chef Becky Williams, Benchmark American Brasserie.
There will also be a silent auction and a live painting by local artist Joseph Raymond to be auctioned at the end of the event.
There will also be a Wine Pull where guests have the chance to win a bottle of wine, valued over $100+, with each $20 donation.
The event will also honor Norma Durrant, founder of “Desserts, Wine and Jazz.” Mrs. Durrant and her husband, Fay J., are longtime supporters of Harvest Regional Food Bank, and during her time as president of the food banks board, she came up with the concept for a new event to raise funds for hunger relief.
“Norma’s idea was to gather friends together with an evening of delicious food and wine, and beautiful music, while bringing awareness to the issue of hunger and raising money for Harvest,” CEO Camille Coker Wrinkle said. “The first several Deserts, Wine & Jazz events were actually held in their beautiful home and raised thousands of dollars to help hungry children and families in Texarkana.”

Additional sponsors of Wine and Jazz include Julie’s Deli & Market, Todd Shores’ McLarty Ford, Patterson- Troike Foundation, Phillips & Sons Refrigeration, State Bank, Kelley-Morgan Foundation, & Wholesale Electric Supply.
Reservations are $75 in advance or $85 at the door. Reservations can be made by visiting the website by clicking here, or calling Harvest Regional Food Bank at 870-774-1398 or visiting the office at 3120 East 19th Street, Texarkana, Arkansas.
