Round Rock earned a series opening win, defeating the Salt Lake Bees 5-3 Tuesday night…RHP Nick Snyder (1-0, 0.00) earned his first win of the season as he did not allow a run and surrendered just one hit with one strikeout in one inning of relief…starter RHP Cole Winn (3.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R-ER, 0 BB, 7 SO) recorded his highest strikeout total of the season before exiting after being hit on the foot by a comeback grounder…CF Josh Smith (2-4, R) extended his hit streak to 10 games and is hitting .380 (16-42) during that stretch…RF Leody Taveras (1-4, 2B, RBI, 2 R) hit his team leading 6th double of the year while also extending his hit streak to eight games…The Express play game two of the series tonight at 7:05 p.m.

The Midland RockHounds walked off against the Frisco RoughRiders in a 4-3 game to open the six-game series LHP Tyler Thomas (3.1 IP, 0 H, 0 RER, 3 BB, 4 SO) provided a nice relief effort for the RoughRiders, he now holds a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings pitched…At the plate, LF Dustin Harris went 0-3 with a BB, breaking his 11-game hit streak, but extended his on-base streak to 13 games…CF J.P. Martinez (3-4, HR, 2B, RBI, R) tallied 3 of the 5 team’s hits…Frisco returns to play tonight at 6:30 p.m.
HICKORY CRAWDADS – W, 10-6 VS GREENVILLE
High-A, South Atlantic League (7-9, 5th, 4.0 GB)
Hickory slugged their way to a 10-6 victory Tuesday night…The Crawdads crushed two home runs and smacked two doubles to lead their offensive attack…RF Aaron Zavala (3-5, 2B, 2 R), 2B Thomas Saggese (3-5, 2B, 2 RBI), and C Cody Freeman (3-4, HR, 3 RBI, 3 R) combined for 9 of the team’s 13 hits and each recorded their first three hit games of the year…On the mound, starter RHP Ricky Vanasco went four innings, giving up one hit along
with two walks and 6 strikeouts…RHP Eudrys Manon (2.2 IP, H, 0 R-ER, 0 BB, 5 SO) picked up his first win for the season…Hickory plays game two of the series tonight at 6:00 p.m.
