ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has reinstated catcher Jonah Heim from the MLB Paternity Leave list and optioned left-handed pitcher Kolby Allard to Round Rock.
Heim has batted .333 (10-30) with 2 home runs and 9 RBI in 10 games/9 starts at catcher for Texas this season. He was placed on the MLB Paternity Leave list on Thursday.
Allard has gone 0-1 with a 6.43 ERA (5 ER/7.0 IP) over 4 relief appearances for the Rangers this season in his fifth MLB campaign.
After today’s moves, the Rangers are the 40-man limit on the Major League roster, along with two players (Jonathan Hernández and José Leclerc) on the 60-day Injured List.
