
An Avery High School senior was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. near Clarksville, Texas in Red River County, the Texas Department of Safety said.
Texas DPS said that 18-year-old Harley Goodwin of Avery was a passenger in a 2202 Ford Explorer driven by 17-year-old Alexzandra Goodwin of Clarksville, Tx. Authorities said there was a second passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Lindsey Hines of Clarksville.
Vehicle rolled over on FM 114-DPS spokesperson said
According to the police report, the vehicle was headed east on FM 114 when it ran of the roadway and rolled over. DPS officers said that Harley Goodwin was ejected from the vehicle.
Police said that Harley Goodwin was transported to and area hospital where she died from her injures.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-incapacitating injures and the second passenger, Lindsay Hines was transported to the hospital with series injuries, DPS said.
The crash remains under investigation.
