ARLINGTON, Texas — No. 19 Texas Baseball lost to Oklahoma State, 8-1, in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Saturday at Globe Life Field. The loss by the Longhorns (43-18) sets up a rematch with the Cowboys at 4 p.m. with the winner advancing to Sunday’s championship game.

Douglas Hodo III and Austin Todd both went 2-for-4 in the game, while Mitchell Daly was 1-for-3 with an RBI double.

The Longhorns had plenty of opportunity to score throughout the game but had 10 runners left on base.

Oklahoma State grabbed a first inning lead with a two-run homer despite starting pitcher Zane Morehouse striking out three batters in the frame.

Texas managed to get two runners on with nobody out in both the first and second innings but were unable to get a run on the board.
