6/1 Transactions: Justin Foscue placed on 7-Day IL (Frisco – Retroactive to 5/31). Jax Biggers reinstated from 7 Day IL (Frisco).

ROUND ROCK EXPRESS – L, 8-0 VS OKLAHOMA CITY

Triple-A, Pacific Coast League (29-20, T1st, – GB)

Round Rock was shutout 8-0 on Tuesday night versus Oklahoma City…LF Bubba Thompson (2-5, 2B) and C Yohel Pozo (2-4) combined for 4 of the team’s 6 hits…Thompson has hit safely in 10 of his last 11, while Pozo extended his hit streak to 8 games hitting .371 during that stretch…on the mound, RHP Tyson Miller (3.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO) took the loss for the Express…Round Rock will look to rebound tonight at 7:05 p.m.

 

FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS – SUSPENDED

Double-A, Texas League (25-20, 1st, 2.0 GA)

Frisco’s game last night was suspended in the Top of the 2nd due to inclement weather…The game has not yet been rescheduled…Frisco is scheduled to begin tonight’s game at 7:05 p.m.

HICKORY CRAWDADS – L, 4-2 AT ASHEVILLE

High-A, South Atlantic League (27-19, T2nd, 0.5 GB)

Hickory came up short on Tuesday night as they fell to Asheville 4-2…2B Thomas Saggese (3-4, RBI) has gone 6-for 12 (.500) in his last 3 games and turned in his second 3-hit performance of the season…RF Aaron Zavala (2-3, BB) and SS Luisangel Acuna (1-3, R, BB) also provided hits in the game as well…starter RHP TK Roby (5.1 IP, 3 R-ER, 1 BB, 9 SO) took the loss, but struck out a season-high 9 Asheville batters…Hickory will look to get back on track this evening as they play game 2 of the series at 5:35 p.m.

 

DOWN EAST WOOD DUCKS – W, 11-5 VS CHARLESTON

Low-A, Carolina League (22-24, 5th, 4.0 GB)

Down East was the lone affiliate to record a win last night as they beat Charleston 11-5…Every batter for the Wood Ducks recorded a hit, led by 1B Tucker Mitchell’s (3-5, HR, RBI, R) and CF Daniel Mateo’s (3-5, RBI, 2 R) 3-hit performances…2B Maximo Acosta (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R, BB) extended his hit streak to 8 and concluded May slashing .316/.402/.430/.832 for the month…on the mound, RHP Gavin Collyer (5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R-ER, 3 BB, 7 SO) secured the victory and struck out a season-high 7 batters…The Woodies will look for win number 8 in their last 9 tonight at 6:00 p.m.
