Here is the Texas Rangers’ minor league report for Sunday, June 12, 2022:
Round Rock (AAA) took after the Major League club on Saturday, scoring 5 runs in the 10th inning en route to a 14-11 victory at Tacoma. Josh Sale had 2 home runs and 7 RBI, including a 3-run blast in the 7th and grand slam that sealed the game in the 10th. Nick Snyder allowed 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th for a blown save that forced extras. Jose Leclerc worked a scoreless 8th in another rehab outing.
Frisco (AA) was a 16-12 winner in a wild game at Amarillo. The team clubbed 7 home runs and won despite allowing 11 runs in the 8th inning. Six different ‘Riders batters went deep, including a 2 HR game by Jordan Procyshen. Dustin Harris and Trey Hair each hit their 11th bombs of the year. LHP Cody Bradford started and earned the win (5.2 IP, 0 R, 8 SO).
Hickory (A+) earned a 3-1 with at Bowling Green behind a strong start from RHP Owen White (7.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R-ER, 2 BB, 11 SO). His season-high 11 K’s finished one shy of his career high. Luisangel Acuna (solo) and Chris Seise (2-run) hit homers to account for all the club’s offense.
Down East (A) managed just 4 hits in a 2-1 loss at Kannapolis. Scored only run in the 3rd on an RBI single by Yenci Pena. LHP Mitch Bratt was saddled with the loss in his start (5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R-ER, 0 BB, 7 SO, 1 HR).
ACL Rangers (Rk.) saw their season-opening 4-G win streak come to a close with a 7-5 loss to the ACL Royals. Leadoff hitter 2B Andres Mesa drove in 3 of the team’s 5 runs, including a 2-run homer in the 5th for his 1st of the season.
