Rise Above Alcohol and Drugs (R.A.A.D.) representative Rachel Williams stopped by Fox Sports Texarkana’s morning show with Bobby DelGiornio to share some details on an upcoming health fair.

Summit Community Care is sponsoring a health fair this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Girls and Boys Club at 1 Legion Drive in Texarkana, Arkansas. The event has almost 30 vendors including a R.A.A.D. booth with some “R.A.A.D. swag,” Williams said on the morning show. Fox Sports Texarkana will also be at the event with Rangers tickets to giveaway with Jim Davenport covering the event live. Lifeshare will be in attendance with a blood drive, those looking to sign up to give blood can do so at lifeshare.org.

Williams discussed R.A.A.D.’s message

R.A.A.D. helped organize the event and came on the morning show, not only to discuss the fair but to spread their message. R.A.A.D.’s goal is to educate teens and youth about the dangers of using and abusing substances like drugs and alcohol. Morning show host Bobby DelGiornio and R.A.A.D.’s Rachel Williams discussed a number of topics, but DelGiornio had a heartfelt message for young listeners. “It’s so important for you to know not to smoke marijuana or drink… it breaks my heart when I see it because it leads to other things.”
