Dallas man believed to have drowned at Wright Patman

QUEEN CITY, Texas — Search and rescue teams continue to look for a Dallas man believed to have drowned Sunday evening at Wright Patman Lake.

A spokesperson with the Texas Parks and Wildlife says that 31-year-old Muhammad Usman Amjad was on a personal watercraft when he fell into the lake at Rocky Point, which is south of the spillway. Reportedly Amjad was not wearing a life vest.

Authorities were notified around 6:45 p.m.

Red Sox Holds Off

Search and rescue teams suspended their search for Amjad at around midnight last night.

Cass County and Bowie County first responders are assisting with the investigation.
