United Airlines announced that they will cease operations at Texarkana Regional Airport after September 6th.
The Airline is pulling out of Texarkana’s local airport only 5 months after offering flights to Houston. United began service from Houston to Texarkana on February 13th, 2022.
Airport Director believes the Texarkana Airport can still attract new service
Texarkana Regional Airport Director Paul Mehrlich is quoted in the local Texarkana paper saying he wants to assure Texarkana and the Ark-La-Tex that the loss of United will not hinder the airport’s ability to attract new service in the future.
Texarkana Regional Airport still offers three daily nonstop flights to Dallas-Fort Worth on American Airlines.
